Mobile Heritage Laboratory (MHL) @ UConn

The Mobile Heritage Laboratory is an archaeological research laboratory built to support community-accountable heritage work at UConn and with partner Tribal Nations. Founded and directed by Dr. Nathan Acebo in 2023, the MHL serves as a designated resource for the UConn Provost's Office NAGPRA Office and houses a 3D LiDAR scanning and printing facility, developed under a UConn CLAS Research Equipment Grant, that supports digital documentation, conservation assessment, and object-study training. This training qualifies ANTH 2511 (Museums and Anthropology) to meet the University's laboratory science requirement.
